August 2008 “Gracias” Update

Dear Friends,

“….Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do:  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead:”  Philippians 3:13 NIV

The summer is almost over, especially concerning work groups and all the hard work in the hot sun; however, we continue to move forward with the pressing preparations to open our elementary school on August the 18th.  Pray for us….

What a productive month July was!   We had several repeat groups.  Archbishop Moeller High School from Cincinnati Ohio came to labor hard.  Dan Hill from Clearview Community Church in Clearview TX., came next.  Friendly Hills Presbyterian Church from Greensboro NC.,  followed.

A Sports Camp, Evangelistic camp produced plentiful fruits for the Kingdom during this week.  Close to one hundred kids attended ages 8-12.

Broadneck Evangelical Presbyterian church came next.  This group made up of 65, the largest for one week this summer.  A very focused and productive group, we praise God for their tremendous efforts…  Over 100 soccer balls were given to children by this group.  Many kids are coming to church as a result of these gifts.  Brownsburg  Community Church from Indiana came next.  That same week we had a medical, dental group from Missouri and Turnpike Church of Christ youth from Grand Prairie, TX.

We intend to give our staff a much deserved vacation.

We are seeking friends who might own timeshares in hotels around the world to maybe consider letting some of our families utilize them for a short vacation, please consider this…

In the meantime, Gonzalo reports of l8 baptisms in Tepic and Sergio took the youth from Acapulco to a Christian Camp in Queretaro where 2 obeyed the Lord in baptism.

Please pray for our elementary school opening on August 18th.  May we have all the necessary personnel and students ready to start the school year..

Please remember that we are building 2 classrooms and an office for our elementary school, we need your help.  This can be a great VBS or Camp project for churches…we will need lots of school supplies…

Please do not forget that we need a good 15 passenger van for the work here in Mexico!

God bless you, Thank you!
